Join our local guides for an intimate tour of Undredal’s historic stave church, built in 1147 and still in regular use today. This small, atmospheric wooden church is one of only 28 surviving stave churches in Norway and the smallest still active in Scandinavia.
On this tour you’ll hear 900 years of stories — from Viking-era origins and medieval worship to Reformation changes and restorations .
You will be surprised how much history lies within the walls of this beautiful, romantic stave church.
The fascinating thing with history is that it is so lively when you hear how it went.
Typical church visit: 30–45 minutes. Combine with a village walk or farm tour for 60–90 minutes. Meet at Undredal dock or specified meeting point.
